From the moment that they wrote their first lyrists they were destined for greatness. Who are they? They are three young men from the streets of Detroit, “The Staff Alliance”. Influenced by everything from jazz, Motown soul to old school hip-hop these guys have made a lot of noise on the underground Detroit hip hop circuit. With their raw production and witty rhyme schemes they’ve explored terrain that many artists only wish they could. Back in 1997 at Oakland University they did their first hip hop show. Energetically, they captivated the audience and gained respect form the other artist performing as well as a brief write up in the OU newspaper. From that performance they went to do other shows, at the B.H.A. hall in Hamtramck, MI. and the popular Majestic Theater in Detroit.Members of the Alliance have their own style and flare. MooGoo is a rhyme genius whose abstract flow and harsh delivery captures your ear and keeps you wanting more. Moses, high pitched raunchy style that’s in your face and demands respect. Finally, Genghis Khan the lyricist never knowing from what angle he’ll hit you with, but you can bet it’ll be creative and powerful. Blended together the Staff Alliance is a force to be reckoned with. Newly released single “Hard Goings”, and a cd to be released in fall 2002. The Staff Alliance will be blowing up in your city soon. |
