It is 6 days in a twelve month period, but the work has to be under an equity agreement. Feature film work come under BECTU as does independant TV film work. Hope this helps.
The answer to your question is officially 6 days in the previous 12 months. Proof should be submitted with your application as either payslips fromn your agent or a letter from your agent on their official letterheaded paper.
Subscription charges are 1 of your earnings from the industry. Minimum subscription fee of UKP80.00 per year upto a maximum of UKP1,750.00. There is also a joining fee of UKP 25.00 for your 1st year.
It’s well worth it if your planning doing this long term, but with only 4 days work in 6 months you may want to consider changing agents.

Hi, I was wondering if someone could tell me how many days TV/film work etc or the essential requirements in order to become an Equity member. So far I’ve done 4 days paid extra work as a TV support artist since May 2004.
Thanks,
Christine
Hi Christine,
The best thing to do is to ring Equity themselves. They are really helpful and approachable and will give you all the info you need. If you don’t have it, their number is 020 7379 6000 or you could email them at [email protected]. I hope this helps and good luck.
