Paul Merton, Josie Lawrence and Steven Frost are some of the well known people who regularly perform “Impro(v) Comedy” in London and Manchester, but not in Nottingham. “Mission Improbable” are looking for more people to join their own team of improvisers (style – Keith Johnstone’s Theatre Sports meets “Whose Line is it Anyway?”). If you are an experienced actor(ess), great. If you are just starting out in acting this is a good training discipline and we will train suitable people at no cost to perform improvised comedy. Rehearsals and training are unpaid, but performances will be paid according to door revenue. We don’t have any female actresses in the team at the moment, so we’d particularly like to hear from you. Rehearsals start again in January (3-4 hours one evening a week).
We plan to perform a twice monthly evening show starting in March next year live in Nottingham. as well as write and produce short comedy videos on DV – this could be our (your) route into TV comedy when we submit them to various TV companies. Visit our website for more information about us http://www.missimp.co.uk Joining/membership of the group is free and open by audition to anyone over 18, however you should live in or close to Nottingham. No CVs needed, just email me or phone Justin on 0115 910 3797.
