    Hi Gillian
I did the course at the London academy. The 5 dayer is good as it gives you more time to prepare and gain confidence- I think I paid £675 or something. However- I was taught in a group of 6 by the likes of BBC presenters and met with another producer who answered all our questions. Y’know the showreel was pretty good actually. Really good fun and well worth the money !
    Hope that helps..

    Hi nichola,
So, have you got any feedback regarding your reel or any work from it? And do they devote enough time to each individual?
    Thanks,
    Gillian

    Hey,
Been looking at courses but do not want to pay out loads for a course that does not give you time (i.e. too many people on it) or does a cheesy showreel that will put people off looking at it. Ideally a course with a small calss size with one-to-one tuition to get the best out of me, that at least gives rushes or tailors your showreel for you, is what i need.
I was talking to a lady called Liz Mills who used to be part of Endemol and has contacts, who is running one-to-one tuition for one day at the cost of £500. Can anyone recommend this? She does not include a reel but will do at a lter date for further cost tailored to your needs. I just wondered if anyone had any advice before I decide what to do.
London Academy also has courses that look ok – has anyone been on these, and what were the class sizes like?
Please advise if you can. Also let me know who to avoid if you have had bad experiences. This would be appreciated. Regards,
    Gillian

yup- I have an interview with MTV coming up on the back of the showreel. Nothing else yet but I only started chucking it about last week. You get to work in pairs and perform in front of the group so they look at u practically and give good advice on yr voice, stance etc
The only problem was that they took ages getting the showreel out to me as the director had just moved house.
Hope you find the right one…
    Nik
