Yes it’s true , hanlau films has covered itself in glory by being the first Cobra Beer entrant to be banned by ITV as “offensive”.
Cobra beer’s judging panel passed “What’s it All About Alfie?” for screening but the home of such progressive channels such as ITV4 (aka the Gery Anderson Back Catalogue Channel) deemed it highly offensive.
We are now taking advanced orders for the director’s cut which will be released in 25 years time.
For any of you foolish enough to want to watch this highly provocative and subversive piece of film noir , you will find “What’s It All About Alfie?” on UKscreen’s screening page
hanlau films would like to confirm that no hamsters living, dead or undead were hurt in the making of this film and that any ITV controllers should be aware that it’s not reality tv…
Take several hamsters. Mix with a kilo of cane sugar. Add water. Bring to boil and stir occasionally. Put mixture in a pot and allow to cool. Place some tulip bulbs in the mixture and leave in a dark cupboard for a few months. In April, place the pot in the window and you will notice that it is Spring again, and once again, we have Tulips from ‘Amster-jam.
Regular visitors to the site will know that I have a special friendship with Alfie and when I broke the news to him he went to pieces.
