Budget Zombies triumph at Raindance

The Raindance Film Festival has drawn to a close with an awards ceremony, ahead of the closing film – Steven Soderbergh’s The Girlfriend Experience.
The Best UK Feature prize went to Ben Wheatley’s Down Terrace.
25 Kilates and My Suicide shared the award for Best International Feature.
A Normal Life Please – about Japanese workers – was honoured with the Best Documentary Prize.
Asiel Norton’s American morality tale Redland picked up the award for the Best Debut Feature.
The much heralded no budget zombie film Colin, supposedly made for £45, won the Best Micro Budget prize.
Short films were also honoured, with the best British work going to George Milton’s Infidel, while the Irish film Of Best Intentions was deemed to be best international short.
The Slow Game – by Italy’s Paolo Sorrentino – was selected as the Film of the Festival.
