For the second week of its release, the 3D re-release of Disneys The Lion King has claimed the number one slot in the US box test captionoffice, making 22.1 million. So far it has made 61.7 million.

Brad Pitts baseball drama, Moneyball, debuted at number two with an impressive 20.6 million.
Moneyball, also starring Jonah Hill and Philip Seymour Hoffman, is based on the true story of Billy Beane, general manager of the Oakland Athletics baseball team, who, in his attempt to save his bankrupt team from certain demise, reinvents the game by hiring undervalued players, using sophisticated statistical analysis of their performance.

The third spot was claimed by family movie, Dolphin Tale, starring Harry Connick and Morgan Freeman, with 20.2 million. Dolphin Tale is based on the true story of the star of the movie, Dolphin Winter, who has to be fitted with a prosthetic tail in order to survive after loosing hers in an accident.

Twilights Taylor Lautner thriller Abduction opened in 4th place with a moderate 11.2, while Hollywood heavyweight, Robert De Niros action film, Killer Elite, made a 5th place light-weight opening with 9.5 million.
