For third straight weekend, the black maids drama The Help cruised to the top of the US box office, earning an estimated 19 million over the four-day US labour- day holiday, raising its over all taking to 123.4 million.
Helen Mirren’s thriller The Debt, which opened last Wednesday, was the runner-up with an estimated earning of 12.8 million. Directed by John Madden, the film tells the story of the kidnapping of a former Nazi by Mossad agents in 1960s East Berlin.
Sci-fi picture Apollo 18 premiered in third place, with 10.7, followed by Shark Night 3D which debuted in the fourth spot, with 10.3 million.
