Zeta-Jones treated for manic depression

The actress Catherine Zeta-Jones has revealed that she has been treated for bipolar disease. The condition, which is also known as manic depression, gives sufferers severe mood swings, that can last weeks or months.
Her publicist Cece Yorke said she checked herself in for treatment after a stressful year, which included supporting her husband – the actor Michael Douglas – through his fight against throat cancer.
Doctors have since said he is now cancer free, and she has expressed her anger that his condition had not been caught sooner.
Her spokeswoman for the forty one year old said she was now feeling great and looking forward to starting work on two new films.
