Others on the jury, that will pick this year’s winner at Cannes, include Oscar-winning director Ang Lee, who’s twice been nominated for the Palme d’Or himself, and the Romanian director Cristian Mungiu, whose 4 Months, 3 Weeks & 2 Days won the top prize in 2007.
The Indian actress Vidya Balan and the Japanese director Naomi Kawase complete the jury.
The jury deciding which film should win the festival’s more art-house strand, Un Certain Regard, will be headed by the Danish director Thomas Vinterberg, whose The Hunt was in the main competition last year.
