Experienced Commercials Director, Producer, Actors, Director of Photography,
and Editor are working together as a cooperative to create a short film to
best illustrate their respective potential. It will be shot on film in a
studio and is being crewed by industry professionals. The production has a
micro-budget (being self-funded by our own credit cards) and thus we cannot
pay any actors but we have a very high quality threshold. However, the end
results will look most professional and will of course be accessible to all
who worked on it. It will be a London studio based shoot, 18th to the 24th
March but will also require some rehearsal time (again at a London
location). Therefore we need to finalize casting asap.
We need the following cast:
“Steel Toe Terry” – Typical “Heavy” type, straight out of a Guy Ritchie film
“Mockney” – a younger “Heavy”, working class East End accent but also able
to do perfect R.P.
“Chef” – mid 30’s, a “Wide Boy” working class East End villain
“Fuzzy” – bedraggled Trainspotting type – with wild hair
“Ghandi” – more focused Trainspotting type
“Quentin Claridge” – fine upstanding good looking male lead from a Merchant
Ivory film
“Mark Kent” – darker, more sinister good looking male lead from a Merchant
Ivory film, an Alan Rickman type
“Perkins” – middle-aged comedic Butler type and “Father” – working class
Northerner, the same actor to play both roles
“First Assistant Director” – Male, mid to late 40’s, stressed but keeping it
together, the voice of authority
“Hairdresser” – Camp, perfectionist
“Jamie” – a convincing Jamie Bell type from Billy Elliot
Associated Extras to include several “Film Crew” types and two “Make Up
Artists”
