Does anyone know of any agents in the North west area that deal with make-up artists?

Check Contacts (available from Spotlight) it lists all the UK’s agents. It’s really difficult getting an agent. I’d advise that the next time you’re performing in a play invite as many agents and casting directors that you can. Coldcalling with CV’s and showreels is necessary but usually fruitless. It may take a long time so stick with it!
    Good luck.

It doesn’t really work like that to be honest. Extra and modelling agencies often advertise when their books are open but regular actors agents don’t. Their books are nearly always full and you generally have to fight to get on them. It’s best to just carpet bomb as many as you can (details in Contacts) with your CV’s and reels and ideally invite them to come and see you in something.
    Good luck.

I agree with Lucy, it’s very tough to get an agent & they will want to see you in a showcase/play. Most actors on agents books were recruited at drama school showcases. Extra agencies are not as tough & are happy to see just a CV & photo. Mad Dog casting are quite good. Good luck!

Send your details again, Eddie. They are constantly posting for actors to join.

I am with several good agents for S.A. but need to find that one special agent for bigger parts in films and Tv. Does anyone known a top class agent who currently has their books open.
    Thanks

Hi Sam (how are you?) and Jennifer
I agree with Sam apart from Peter Cleall Associates who were recommended to me by Spotlight. I didn’t get on their books though but they might need your ‘type’.
I’m currently on stage at The Gatehouse Theatre in Highgate. Lots of travelling up and down from Seaford but London is where it’s at and now I’ve ‘got into’ the London fringe, I hope to get an agent soon.
    Best of luck
    Sharon

Does anyone know of any good agencies/diary services in london or on the internet that don’t cost the earth? I’m a production person who is waiting for the next bout of PMT before tackling the phones again (my least favourite pastime), but I’d like to find a few recruitment sites before my larynx packs up and leaves altogether (probably taking my confidence with it!!!!!)…..onwards and upwards……
    Any info most appreciated
    Tej
