I’m a New Zealand writer recently arrived in the UK, living near Milton Keynes. My specialist area is song lyrics and I am seeking collaborators in the UK film/TV and music industries.
NZ producer Tom Rainey (who has worked with leading NZ musicians such as Dave Dobbyn, Bic Runga and Greg Johnson) described my lyrics as “refreshingly personable and appealing”.
My lyrics fall into three categories:
• Standard song lyrics across many genres, from folk/blues/country to jazz and sophisticated ballads.
• Musical theatre lyrics
• Songs especially written for film or TV, either adapted or original material
I can work with either lyrics or music first. I can provide many samples of my work. After many years in the IT industry I am a fast worker and accustomed to deadlines. I’m looking to place songs with established performers as well as engaging with the theatre and film/TV industries.
