So, What is Oxjam?
Oxjam is Oxfam’s biggest, most-ambitious, music event ever. Were asking musicians, promoters and – in fact everybody, to put on all kinds of music events throughout October to raise cash for Oxfam.
There’s no limit on how big, or small the events are. From classical to club night, Mambo to metal, it’s Live 8 in your back garden or local pub… All this will add up to one huge, UK-wide, Oxjam festival – raising hundreds of thousands of pounds to fight poverty.
YOU are the stars so we need YOUR help to make it happen.
Well make sure that everyone gets the support they need to organise and promote events including lots of stuff on-line, tips from music-industry experts, and posters and flyers to download.
Whats it all for?
Oxjam is about raising money to fight poverty all over the world. Youll be helping people to earn a living; to get an education; health care; fresh water; to grow more food.
What can you do?
Take part and support Oxfam and your local music community.
