RIOT PILOT-100 persons needed
The Greg McLaren Performance Organ needs RIOTERS (no fee). RIOT PILOT happens at Hackney Empire on Thursday July 14th as part of the Hackney Spice festival. The climax of the show is when 100 people come out from nowhere and fill Hackney Town Hall Square.. they will be armed with chalk and pens. they will destroy and en-slogan large cardboard avatars and write in chalk on the walls and pavements. then do a small waltz. We need the 100 people. We need factions: some artists, some journalists, some metaphysicians etc. We need you. Some musicians. Some activists. Some performers. We need you! There will be 2 audiences watching. One from inside the Empire (who have previously created the cardboard models) and the other formed from passers by and ne’er-do-wells. You will be issued simple instructions beforehand and will be required to give about an hour of your time on the day. And of course participate in a terrifically exciting and possibly quite phenomenal experience. If you are interested please contact us and spread the word, the more people the better – a bit like a riot reconstruction society. Bring your friends.
