Fifteen simultaneous premieres for Michael Jackson film

The film made from the footage of rehearsals for Michael Jackson’s comeback concerts at the O2 in London will be premiered at twenty five screenings around the world — fifteen of them coordinated to start at the same time.
The London premiere will begin at 1am on Wednesday, October the 28th, at the Odeon Leicester Square — with screenings taking place simultaneously in cities including LA, New York, Berlin, Johannesburg, and Seoul.
British fans will get their first chance to see the film at 4am.
Jeff Blake from Sony Pictures said that by rolling out the film simultaneously worldwide, it would give Michael Jackson’s army of fans around the world the opportunity to celebrate his incredible career together.
The film – directed by Michael Jackson’s creative partner Kenny Ortega – was shot between March and June, as the singer was developing and rehearsing his show and it is being released with the full support of his estate.
This Is It will be on release for two weeks.
