Dear Lee,
I might be just what you’re looking for in the role of Gaffer. I’m an qualified electrician (IEE & JIB), owner operator of a range of lighting equipment, along with a 3.5 tonne crew bus (seats 6).
Please feel free to look over my website’s credits, CV and equipment list pages for more information, or call 0774 890 2559 and we can arrange a meeting.
While I can offer my services for free to the right sort of project, I would need to cover the cost of my equipment in the form of a dry hire payment or similar, but that’s something we can discuss.
Yours,
Pete CarrierPete CarrierMemberDear Patrick,
I’m happy that things are going well with your film and it’s great to see that you’re well into post now.
We do still need to resolve the financial issue regarding the hire of lights.

There’s a dozen hire houses with the 900, and in December you’ll have a good chance of getting a freebee (especially over three days), .Make it a weekend, call it a test, and who knows?
…but, and here it comes, insurance for camera, plus prime lenses could be astronomical.

pete@carrier-media.co.ukPete CarrierMemberDear Sir,
I’m not averse to working the odd day for free, but as a self employed Sparky, there comes a time when… Well I’m sure you get my drift?
I might be able to do a hand full of days, if you get stuck. Please be good enough to send me a copey of the script, locations and time and I’ll get back to you

I’d like to put myself forward for the role of Gaffer, however there is the problem of money. Occationally I’ll wave my fee, earning a few pennies hiring out my own equipment to cover their running costs and mine. Good for me, great for you.
