He was the armourer on Band of Brothers. He can supply handguns which will fire blanks the effect is not only to create sound but also the visual mussel flash effect. If failing that you could possibly legally obtain starting pistols just for the noise. Just google his name.
Joe RispoliMemberI received an email from Stacie explaining why there is a prize draw; quote “he is really all about making his films in his own way, he turns down millions of pounds in funding so he has creative direction over his own films ”
Well he may turn down millions of pounds in funding ! I find it hard to believe that. There are some serious questions, which remain unanswered. Many things don’t make sense at all. They say each ticket costs £9 and after 350 they close the draw. So that’s £3,150. x2 2 parts. 1 Male and 1 Female = £6,300 That’s not enough to fund a feature Film. That’s chicken feed. And they have to fly them out and put them up in the USA ?
What if the ticket drawn is one by a person who might not be suitable for the type of film Larry wants to make? An Afghan paraplegic dwarf ticket is drawn. What are they going to say “sorry we can’t use you ? But my ticket was picked the dwarf will say.
The USA operates very stringent employment laws for people seeking work there. This months BECTU Stage Screen & Radio leading article highlights this very issue for UK film industry professionals. How will they arrange this person work visa ?
I think it’s very regrettable that some people try and exploit naive and vulnerable people in this way. No industry professional would give this a second thought.17 February 2007 at 12:00 pm in reply to: Models 1 Promotions Exposed BBC1 Inside Out – Friday #263781Joe RispoliMemberThanks to BBC Inside Out east for going undercover for their report.

They are the same company as Hidden Talent (Hidden Faces) they operate from the same rooms in Pinewood studios.
Eric Chandler is the manager of both companies. Models One have an address on their literature 37b New Cavendish Street. This is just a private mail box drop http://www.londonofficeservices
Not to mention the half a dozen Advertising Authority Adjudications between them.
Regardez was named by the BBC as worst show biz agent in 2003.

And that they had been avoiding messages from artists and not returning calls from artists inquiring about their money. A couple of months down the line they went under. Frank Temple was the one who ran it. And he can’t be found or contacted. So legal action can’t proceed. If any body know the where about’s of Frank Temple please pass this on to me or Equity.
Thanks

Let’s hope the word will spread more and more and these scam artists will no longer be able to exploit these loopholes.
BBC Television Wales are broadcasting a piece on it next week, details to follow.
The Government has let this legal scam go on for far too long.Joe RispoliMemberI think you are better sticking with Uk Screen, Star Now advertise student and No budget, not a lot of paid work at all. Incidenrly you have posted this on the writing forum.
Joe RispoliMemberJust looked on the Casting call pro agent rating stats site. Debbie Edler Mgt has got a -1.3 (minus). 15 people voted for them. That’s all the info I have on them.
Joe RispoliMemberJust looked at the casting call pro web site. They have a voting system for agents.
Rhino Management got a minus score !Joe RispoliMemberMost productions go to Stage Schools for the children they want.
Many stage schools have an agency as part of the school.
Many other child agencys never really get of the ground. They just charge up front fees to prospective candidates, that how they survive but they don’t get that much work. Don’t pay an fees to any agency regardles of what they say.
Get her into a Stage School.Joe RispoliMemberThe DTI stated:
As far as the issue of the response by Gerry Sutcliffe to Henry Bellingham’s question is concerned, the Minister has written Mr Bellingham to clarify the response.
In response, the Minister said that there had been “18 to 20 prosecutions of agencies that operated in this way”. This figure relates to the total number of prosecutions of agencies operating in the entertainment and modelling sector for all breaches of employment agency legislation. The total figure since 1995 is more than 20.
The restrictions on up-front fees came into force in April 2004, and there have been no prosecutions to date for unlawful charging of up-front fees.
As the Minister had responded directly to Mr Bellingham’s question on up-front fees, it may have looked as though the Minister was saying that there had been 20 prosecutions on up front fees, even though his answer related to the total number of prosecutions.
The Minister has apologised for any lack of clarity that that the answer may have caused and we have arranged for copies of this letter to be placed in the Libraries of the House. -
